Valleyfest

High school marching bands from throughout Iowa and surrounding states competes in the annual Valley Marchmasters’ Valleyfest in West Des Moines. Daytime and evening sessions at Valley Stadium each will feature performances from two dozen bands in multiple classes, with awards presentations in both groups.

The Valley Marchmasters concludes the program with an exhibition performance. Valleyfest XLII follows with competition performances from 3:40 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. and the Marchmasters taking the field in exhibition at 10:30 p.m. Final awards are presented at 10:45 p.m. Showdown performers from the metro area include North Polk, Urbandale, Dallas Center-Grimes, Saydel, Johnston, Dowling Catholic, Ankeny Centennial, Ankeny and Waukee.
